Ken Johnson Motivates HMS Studentss
  • Ken Johnson Convo

Ken Johnson, Anderson High School graduate,

former high school All American in Basketball

and Football for the Indians, and former

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end, delivers an

engaging and relatable message to HMS

students focused on making positive decisions.

"Every one of you has gifts and talents that you

don't realize you have! Students...don't you ever,

ever, ever, ever quit!  Ken Johnson

Of Interest to HMS Parents
  • Exciting New Year
Welcome back to school!  HMS is excited

to get to know your students.  We have so

many fun events to look forward to this

coming year!  We will keep you posted

on this website and other social media

    of all the upcoming events!

PARENTS - WE HAVE 200+ STUDENTS

FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR.  YOU WILL

NOT BE ABLE TO RECEIVE A FREE

    CHROMEBOOK WITHOUT REGISTERING!

Requesting to Ride Another Bus
  • Ride Home with Friend? Sure, if.....
         We have MANY daily requests

for students to ride on a different

    bus home with another student.

In order to do this, we MUST have

    a written note,with parent signature,

from EACH parent, stating that the

parent of EACH child is aware of

the bus change for that particular

    date.

          To protect your student(s),

    Requests over the phone will

not be accepted. There is no

way for us to verify the identity

    of the caller.

Due to having 1400+ students in

this building, it disrupts class time

    having students requesting to phone

home asking to go on a different bus

with other students.  Bus notes should

be turned into and office first thing

in the school day.  A staff member will

sigh/approve both notes so the bus

driver will know that the notes are

    approved.  This is another measure

we take to ensure the safety of our

    students.

          We appreciate your understanding

    with this matter.

HMS offers 2 Activity Buses, #89 and #64, that leave Highland daily at 4:15 pm, Monday-Friday.  These specific buses are ONLY for students who stay after school for activities in which they are participating.   These buses were set up as a convenience to parents for their transportation needs.  Below is a list of the stops this bus will make.  The parent is then responsible for picking up their student(s) at that bus stop.
